Über dieses Vintage-Designmöbel
About this item British Mid Century Afromosia Teak Sideboard by Richard Hornby for Fyne Ladye in the 1960s and retailed through Heals. Superb craftsmanship throughout, carved from solid from Afrormosia with beautiful cutaway handle detail, reeded drawer fronts and the signature Hornby bevelled edge to the top. Features two large cupboards with solid Afrormosia adjustable shelves and four good sized drawers to the right-hand side. Fyne Ladye Furniture of Banbury was one of the few quality British makers to use solid woods for their pieces in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Richard Hornby was a very accomplished designer whose simple elegant clean designs were popular with well off middle-class buyers looking for modern Scandinavian style pieces at the time. Fyne Ladye Furniture was rarely labelled and was retailed by top contemporary shops like Heals of London at the time. Overall in superb vintage condition. Some signs of use and minor blemishes as expected, please see all pictures.
