Pair of Mid-Century, Rattan and Bamboo Sconces 1960s

Pair of mid-century, vintage rattan and bamboo sconces, produced between the 1950’s to 1960’s, in the style of renowned French designer and architect, Louis Sognot.(Not selling individually.) Each sconce has a rich, warm color and patina, in line with their vintage character and feature a circular frame made of bamboo & rattan, an interior shade lined with linen-textured material, (reminiscent of stereo-speaker material from the same epoch), a neck that curves like the letter "J", with a circular piece that meets an arched, upside-down,"U"-shaped piece of bamboo, with a small hook at the top, making it simple to mount onto a wall and a standard, B-22 bayonet socket, to accommodate the use of a small, flame-shaped, light bulb (not included.) ~ Both sconces are in excellent, overall, original condition. ~ Both have their original wiring, have been tested and function. ~ Design Period: 1950’s to 1960’s ~ Country of Manufacture: France ~ Style: Vintage, Mid-Century, Rustic-Contemporary Detailed Condition: ~ Very light wear consistent with age and use. ~ Patina consistent with age and use. ~ They’ve been gently cleaned to maintain the color of the original patina.
