Large advertising poster vintage illustration ile de Ré 1983

Illustrated by Gerard Prevauto , professional photographer and illustrator well known for his drawings and illustrations of islands like oleron, Ré or the city of Saint Malo. The illustration is on the one hand decorative, informative with historical passages, playful with funny texts. The illustration is not a map but allows children and tourists to find their way around in a simple way with many gastronomic landmarks, interesting companies and original shops of the island. Not often sold in this large format and framed (The last sale of the illustrator took place at Drouot in 2016). The standard format of these illustrations is normally 56 X 82, while this one measures 98 X 67. In very good original condition with very very slight traces and marks of use and patina of time. You can spend hours looking at it... it's full of anecdotes. Some of the old shops have the Codec sign and all the phone numbers are still 8 digits as they were then.
