Vintage Yellow Orgone armchair by Marc Newson

The Orgone Chair reflects Marc's desire to find a way to work with aluminium in fluid form and his ongoing research into new production methods and processes. The inside and outside of the work merge to create a fluid and useful object with a liminal space that draws the outer surface inwards and vice versa: there is an interstice where the inner voids become the outer legs, the idea being to create a negative space in the forms. The Orgone chair was presented at "Wormhole", Marc's first solo exhibition in Milan, at the 1994 furniture fair. 96x76x76cm
