Please note we also have a pair of matching Lounge Chair to accompany this piece, which can be found in a separate listing. The sofa is upholstered in a rich Teal Blue coloured Wool, with contrasting braid detail to the edges of the piece. The backrest and seat base of the sofa are also ribbed, this being typical of Art Deco design. This particular Sofa features a stunning Golden Oak frame, with carvings and scrolling to the fronts of the arms. Like the majority of all Deco pieces, the sofa is raised upon a heavy Beech wood frame, with the backrest and seat base being heavily sprung on traditional coil springs. The rear of the Sofa is upholstered with fabric lining, which is common for Art Deco sofas manufactured in Scandinavia, as this covers the webbing and springs in the backrest. The piece also stands on two Oak stepped feet to the front and two plain block feet to the rear. Purchased in Denmark, this design classic is an original piece of Mid Century Furniture.
