Vintage set of 4 Ercol Fleur De Lye Dining Chairs

Four stunning pieces of mid century furniture in four dining chairs by Ercol. The chairs have a curved back with three super stylized back panels with the carved feathers as the central motif, the seat is solid elm while at the base the chairs have the fabulous styled Ercol legs with cross stretchers. The chairs are hand crafted by Ercol and are model number 375 in the Ercol catalogue there described as feather back but have now taken on the name as Fleur De Lye in reference to the feathered carving on each chair, under each seat each chair has the Ercol kite mark. Each chair has been given a fabulous makeover with the back rests and legs of each chair coloured in black that gives each one an ebonised look and feel while each seat has been left in Elm that gives a wonderful look and contrast in colour. The chairs are a great piece of mid century furniture super stylish and practical that now offer both traditional and contemporary styles in a timeless design and are a beautiful addition to any interior that would suit any home or environment. Measurements H 31.5 inches H To the seat 17 inches D 16 inches W 16 inches. Condition The chairs are in superb condition with no marks or scratches. Each chair has been hand sanded before the application of the black while each seat has been sanded then oiled and waxed to help preserve the beautiful colour.
