Industrial, metal and formica vintage desk, 1970

This vintage, mid-century, industrial desk produced by Atal, features a metal frame, a brown Formica ’faux wood’ desktop and aluminum edging. DETAILS: ~ Remains in very good, overall original condition for its age. ~ The desktop and trim are in excellent condition. ~ The metal structure is mounted on screw-feet with a brass colored finish, that are adjustable and functional, also in good condition, with no perforations. ~ It retains its original military gray industrial color. ~ There is a date 23373 (March 23, 1973) and signature under the top, that could correspond with a date of commissioning or use (if military). ~ The underside of the desk has a rail system that allows you to adjust the width and space between the 2 feet as needed (53 cm space in the photos) with a maximum spacing of about 75 cm and goes back in place, by adjusting them, with a system of latches. ~ A very beautiful piece for everyday use, that can fit perfectly in a contemporary, industrial, rustic or vintage space. ~ This vintage item remains fully functional, but it shows sign of age and use consistent with time. ~Light wear consistent with age and use. ~ Patina consistent with age and use. ~ Surface has been polished. ~Signs of wear on the sides and marks of time on the underside of the table top. ~ Desk has been fully cleaned. ~ Colors: Grey, brown. ~The piece will be disassembled for transport.
