Danish vintage pendant lamp Doo-Wop by Henning Klok for Louis Poulsen, 1950s

Doo-Wop is a reproduction of the Søværnspendel lamp from the 1950s. The Doo-Wop lamp was introduced to the market in 1950 and was designed in close collaboration between the Naval Construction Department and Louis Poulsen. The lamp has been used for many years in Naval buildings for many different applications, such as catering and offices. It wasn’t until the early 1980s that the product was removed from Louis Poulsen’s catalogs. In recent years, more and more old editions have been resold through antique stores and auctions. This resulted in high demand and Louis Poulsen was asked to bring the products back to the market. The new version is very similar to the original. However, the colors have been updated to be more contemporary while the production methods are the same. The lamp is in very good condition. A copy from 1985.
