Vintage modernist teak desk by Herbert Hirche for Holzapfel, 1960

Superb desk of the German designer Herbert Hirche published by Holzapfel in the 1960s. The association between Herbert Hirche and Holzapfel gave birth to a whole series of quality desks. Typical of the modernist trend, this desk is also similar to the famous Bauhaus trend born in Germany. This desk respects of beautiful proportions. It is composed of a row of three suspended drawers, the last two of which are designed to accommodate all documentation in its metal storage. It is entirely worked in teak whose patina is magnificent. The teak color is nicely contrasted with the small square tube dark gray. The great originality of this desk lies in its handles.
