This classic teak bookcase and secretarie was designed by Johannes Sorth in the 1960s. It is a marvelous example of high-quality Danish mid-century carpentry combined elegance and functionalism. The bookcase features two ajustable shelves chest of 3 drawers and also a secretaire with a pull-out desk with many small compartments, and three small drawers hidden behind tambour doors. This piece of furniture can help one create a discreet space for a home office while ensuring just enough place for storage, books, and decorations. The unit stands on a solid teak base. The rest is made out of teak veneer with solid teak accents. Overall is in excellent original vintage condition with minor traces of use. Johannes SORTH
Johannes Sorth è stato un rinomato designer danese nato nel 1937 e morto nel 2017. È noto soprattutto per il suo lavoro nel campo del design industriale, in particolare per i suoi eleganti mobili moderni. Sorth ha studiato all'Accademia Reale Danese di Belle Arti di Copenaghen, dove si è laureato nel 1963.
