Space Age chrome and Murano glass chandelier six-light, Italy 1960s

Beautiful large 1960s six-light Space Age chandelier with hand-blown Murano glass shades. The glass of the bowls is transparent with shades of milky white "Lattimo". The so called "Lattimo" is a special way of glassmaking and the term comes from the Italian word "latte", or milk. The structure, made entirely of chrome-plated steel, is very distinctive as a whole. There are no trademarks on the chandelier but certainly its shape, the quality of components and chrome plating refer to the productions of the major design brands of the period, a perfect example of Italian Space-Age. Excellent vintage condition. The glass bowls are intact and have no defects. The chrome metal frame is in very good condition with some very light marks. The original wiring has been tested. Standard E27 lamp holders are original. Fully functional, ready to use. Weight: 6.5 kg
