Vintage low teak Ladderax shelves, Robert Heal 1960

Ladderax Modular System A rare self-supporting teak low shelving system from Staples Ladderax, dating from the early 1960s. Designed by Robert Heal, the shelving system has just the right amount of components that would easily fit into a modern mid-century interior, with possible uses as a room divider, media centre, for records, etc. Ladderax is a modular shelving and storage system created by Robert Heal in 1964 for Staples of Cricklewood, London. This period object has no defects, but shows slight traces of use. The shelving consists of modular units with shelves and two storage cabinets with internal shelves and sliding glass doors. It is stamped Staples Ladderax Unit Furniture, Staples and Co Ltd. Dimensions (cm): 184 W x 35 D x 132 H Condition: Overall in very good condition, there are some signs of use, and one of the shelves shows some wear to the edge as shown in the photo.
