Vintage Yucca Illuminated Vanity Mirror By Anna Anselmi For Bieffeplast, 1988

Illuminated vanity mirror in lacquered and chromed metal, designed by Anna Anselmi for Bieffeplast in 1988. It carries 4 bulbs with e14 socket. The mirror can rotate: On one side there is a normal mirror, on the other a round magnifying mirror. In excellent condition, small lacks of silvering on the edge of the round mirror. Anna Ferrarese Anselmi brought her professional experience with Ettore Sottsass to the family business. Designer and art director of Bieffe and Bieffeplast from the seventies until 1999, with her husband Guido Anselmi she had led the company, an international leader in the production of drawing tables, to the world of design and furnishings for contract. Among her best known projects, the Yucca mirror. But as the art director of Bieffe and Bieffeplast she had coordinated numerous projects. Particularly noteworthy are the collaborations of the early Eighties with the young Matteo Thun and Michele De Lucchi. The collaboration in international contract projects with the London-based designer Rodney Kinsman has also been very fruitful since the 1970s.
