Vintage adjustable leather and steel Scandinavian desk chair by Mats Theselius for Källemo 

Mats Theselius designed the ’Sheriff’ chair as part of a suite of products for Swedish Design House Källemo that all featured thick, premium leather with bindings, rivets and steel. The concept was to create an essence of historical attitude matched to contemporary design that was both unusual in form but also practical. This particular version of the chair features a bespoke seat pad and back panel in soft black leather as a contrast to the vintage style thick brown leather sub structure. The seat pad in particular adds a welcome softnessthat makes the design far more comfortable and useable than the standard configuration. The chair also features an easy to reach and use full tilt and height adjustment allowing you to tailor your working position to your exact requirements. This is an expensive chair to buy new and especially so with the bespoke additions which make it unique, as such it’s rare to find one on the resale market. It’s in very good used condition with a few marks to the frame and leather and marks to the seat pad from use as you would expect. No holes, rips or tears and no rust or flaking of the powder coat finish. The chair is a good match in colour, size and proportion to the Rosewood kneehole desk (available on one of my other listings on this website) as shown in the last photograph.
