Pair of vintage Mandalay Buddha Sculptures

This pair of Mandalay Buddha Sculptures, was hand carved in Myanmar (Burma), in the early 20th century. They are standing with hands poised in the teaching mudra, with meditative face, studded hair with rounded ushnisha, wearing sanghati robe flowing in multitudinous folds with inlaid mirror and glass decorative borders. The bare feet stand on a circular lotus base, mounted on an additional tiered wooden pedestal. In original and good condition, preserving a very nice patina, consistent with age.
