Vintage side table with metal magazine rack, 1960

Vintage side table with magazine rack in black metal with a vintage enamelled ceramic top, with brass-coloured ball ends and antique gold-coloured handles from the 1950s-1960s. The structure is in black metal, the lower part shows a metal magazine rack with a V-shaped wick, giving the room a very nice 5060s look. At the top, there are 3 unsealed glazed ceramics in the room. The two on each side of yellow patina were made in November 1959 and 1960 by the famous earthenware factory of Desvres (both tiles have their manufacturing stamps and the date of manufacture on the back). The one in the middle, presenting a very nice white and green drawing inspired by nature with rabbits, trees and flowers was made by the famous ceramist from Giens France (again the stamp and date are on the back). The part is in wonderful original condition, with slight traces of wear and use. The tiles have no cracks or chips, and are consistent for their age, on the body and legs, which only add to their charm. (See photos.) Its design has clean lines and the structure itself is both functional and stable. It has been carefully cleaned to preserve the original patina. Perfect size to optimize space in a small room. A beautiful piece of retro decoration, which could be used as an occasional table, end of sofa or other.
