Pierre Guariche “Troika” Lounge Chairs for Airborne, France 1960

A beautiful pair of lounge chairs, model “Troika”, designed by Pierre Guariche, manufactured by Airborne in France around 1960. These highly recognizable chairs are iconic pieces of French design They have a wonderful modern style and exceptional seating comfort. The seat is deep, slightly tilted, and the armrests, seating cushion and backrest add to the experience and style of the chairs. Geometrical shapes combine to create a very appealing piece. The chairs have thin metal bases which fits the style perfectly. They excel at quality and design, and to honor this we had them re-upholstered professionally in beautiful green-yellow fabric. This model is no longer in production and therefore a very rare find and a real mid-century classic The set remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
