Vintage armchair "Wiggle" by Frank Gehry, 1972

Designed in 1972, it is a tribute to Rietveld's Zig-Zag chair (1934). Gehry uses thick laminated cardboard sheets, arranged at right angles and glued together. This technique is similar to chipboard, and gives the chair a solid appearance. Impression that contrasts with the malleable nature of the material, and the undulating shapes of the chair.
