Set of 6 vintage champagne chairs by Estelle and Erwine Laverne

Estelle and Erwine Laverne produced exceptionally beautiful, innovative mid century-modern wallpapers, fabrics and furniture since the fifties. They found that furniture should not obstruct the space effect of a modern interior visually. That is why they developed furniture with round, organic forms, often of translucent Plexiglas. This set of Champagne swivel chairs was designed in 1962 for Formes Nouvelles. The brown lucite shell is attached on an aluminum swivel pedestal. Each chair has a black leather seat cushion. All chairs stand in a very good original condition, with normal patina of use.
