About this vintage design furniture

Wonderful Wilkahn 470 daybed with teak frame and upholstered in ivory Boucle fabric. Despite the light colour, the fabric cover shows minimal signs of wear and harmonises beautifully with the warm teak wood of the frame. The frame has little traces of use. One leg has a chip on the underside of the sofa which cannot be seen from the front. The sofa converts into a day bed with a lying surface of 193 cm long and 76 cm wide by means of a simple lifting mechanism. The sofa also comes with 2 cushions. The German designer Hans Bellmann designed this model in 1964 for Wilkhahn. Wilkhahn was founded more than 100 years ago by Friedrich Hahne and Christian Wilkening as a chair factory. In 1946, contact was made with the Deutsche Werkstätten with the designers Georg Leowald and Herbert Hirche, who worked in the tradition of the Bauhaus. Since then, Wilkhahn has been one of the premium manufacturers of office furniture. Reference : 273432
