Shipping and Returns​​​



By specialised shippers

An original vintage furniture is a unique and irreplaceable object. This is why we pay particular attention to the delivery of the vintage and designer second-hand furniture you order on our site, by working with specialised shippers used to handling this type of object. These partners allow us to ship large or fragile furniture with the necessary precautions and proper handling, and each delivery is insured for the value of the object. 

By default, all orders are delivered at the front of the building.


By parcel

Small and non-fragile items (accessories, lights, posters, etc.) are sent as parcels via express delivery services such as UPS, DHL, TNT or equivalent and will be delivered directly to your home without appointment.


Shipping delay

Your order will be delivered within 1 to 5 weeks depending on the nature of the items ordered and your delivery address.

For example, for small items that can be sent by parcel, you will be delivered by express delvery within a few days worldwide! For larger items, your order will be delivered within 2 to 5 weeks (2 to 3 weeks on average in Europe) via specialised shippers or removal companies.

Whatever the delivery method, we will send you information to followup the progress of your delivery.


Delivery areas

We deliver our vintage treasures worldwide. However, for delivery to islands and other hard to reach areas, additional charges will apply. This applies in particular to :  

- France: Corsica and areas outside mainland France

- Germany: all German islands

- Spain: all Spanish islands, Ceuta and Melilla

- USA: Hawaii, Alaska

- Greece: all Greek islands

- Italy: all Italian islands

- Portugal: Madeira and Azores

- United Kingdom: Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Shetlands and Scottish Islands

- Areas outside the European Union

Delivery to the floor

All deliveries are made at the building doorstep, by default.

However, for certain regions, Design Market may offer an in-home delivery option. If this option is available when you place your order and you select it, our shipper will deliver your order inside your home, even upstairs if necessary.

 The items you ordered on our website are not exactly what you expected? No problem.

At Design Market you have up to 14 days after delivery to return your order and obtain a refund (retractation only available for orders delivered in the European Community).

As a precaution, we invite you to examine the contents of your delivery in detail in the presence of the delivery person, and to express your reservations on the delivery note or directly to the carrier within 72 hours if necessary.


Return of small items

If you want to return a small item that was delivered to you by post, you will be responsible for returning the package yourself. Our customer service will provide you with the return address.

As soon as we receive your package, you will be refunded for your order. Simple, isn't it!


Return of bulky items

For the return of bulky or fragile items, which remains your responsibility and at your expense, on request, we can provide you with a list of specialised transporters with whom we work regularly so that you can organise the return of your product in suitable conditions, with authorised professionals.

Once we have received the item, you will be reimbursed for your order.
