About this vintage design furniture
Rare minimalist wooden “Jamaica” bar stools designed by Pepe Cortés and produced by Amat in 1990s. The ergonomic saddle shape seat is made in solid black painted beech, the splayed legs goes in tubular chromed steel. Lightweight but very stable. Sold as a pair.

About the designer
CORTES
Pepe Cortés was a Spanish designer who was born in Barcelona in 1946 and died in 2019. He studied at the Barcelona School of Arts and Crafts and began his career as an industrial designer in the 1970s. He founded his own design studio in 1984, where he worked on a variety of interior design, furniture and lighting projects for clients around the world.
