About this vintage design furniture
A 3-seater sofa sleeping bench designed by Martin Visser, manufactured by Spectrum in the Netherlands around 1960. This is a beautiful piece, made of high quality black lacquered metal. It has been newly upholstered in grey fabric upholstery which fits the piece perfectly The seating depth can easily be extended by raising and pulling out the seat, after which it can be used as a sleeping bed. This is an innovative piece and a true icon of Dutch mid-century design The slightly tilted backrest and separate armrest cushion add to the comfortable seating experience for this very modern, timeless piece. The sofa remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
