Vintage Danish Rosewood Secretaire by Erling Torvits 1960s Stunning Rosewood bureau designed by Danish architect Erling Torvits for Klim Møbelfabrik Denmark. This is the more rare large model with the additional four drawers next to the desktop. Versatile secretary with 16 drawers in total ( ) and drop down locking desktop. Three drawers are concealed and can only be opened by pressing hidden levers. Desk area also features cabinets with sliding doors and three drawers with bowtie fronts. Next to desktop is a bank of drawers with four additional drawers. Under desktop are six large drawers side by side. Wide sculpted drawer pulls in solid Rosewood. Round tapered legs. Beautiful bookmatched Rosewood veneer with very expressive grain pattern. Very high quality Danish mid-century modern craftsmanship with an abundance of stunning details. Suitable for many purposes as desk, dresser or chest of drawers. Excellent vintage condition with only few signs of use, please see photos. Original key is included. Gently cleaned and polished.
