Mid century compact desk by Chaim Schreiber for Schrieber furniture, 1960s

Founded in 1957 by Chaim Schreiber, Schreiber furniture is an interesting British success story. The Company was one of the biggest names in furniture in the 70s, rivalling G Plan, Avalon and other famous names. In 1973 they added fitted kitchens to their range, and created 280 Schreiber Furniture Centre shops throughout UK, including a showroom in Tottenham Court road. This is a very rare small sized Schreiber desk. Trademark veneer and distinctive recessed curved handles. The top is a warm grey laminate. For more storage there is an open slot on the left hand side. In fantastic condition. Size Width 107cm x depth 59cm x height 74cm x knee hole width 52cm Condition: Excellent mid century condition.
