Vintage sofabed by Coen de Vries for Devo, Netherlands 1950s

A nice two seater sofa sleeping bench by Dutch designer Coen de Vries, manufactured by Devo in the Netherlands around 1950. The piece has a nice minimalist style. The square black lacquered metal frame holds the cushions that create seating and backrest. The sides of the frame can be extended, and by placing the back cushions on these extensions the sofa transforms into a guest bed The cushions are upholstered in beautiful beige yellow fabric that contrasts nicely to the dark frame.
