Vintage pendant lamp by Louis Kalff for Philips, Netherlands 1950s

This modern style hanging lamp was designed by Louis Kalff and manufactured in the Netherlands by Philips during the 1950s. The shade is made of black and white lacquered metal. A combination that creates a nice contrast in which the colours strengthen each other well The milk glass shade allows a warm light to emit when lit. A fantastic find of Dutch design It remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
