Vintage formica and metal side table, 1950-1960s

Super cool vintage mid-century side table with a formica top, on black metal legs from the 1950s-1960s. The table top is limoncello colored formica has a "faux wood" effect, which really pops against the black formica edge. The table stands on upside down hairpin legs, made of tubular steel, which has all its original black plastic tips (1 tip has a small plastic slot.) The underside of the table is particle board. The section of the legs above the table are arched, which allows them to be used as two handles, making it easy to move the piece if desired. The piece is in very good overall condition, original and vintage condition, with some light marks and signs of age and use, consistent for a table of this age, on the top and edge, legs and underside of the table (see photos.) Although we could have chosen to completely restore this table, we decided to gently clean it, respecting the original patina of time, as this is what gives some vintage pieces such as this one, their charm. Its design has clean lines and the structure itself is functional, sturdy and stable. The table is the perfect size to optimize space in a small room, patio or balcony. A great retro decoration piece, which could be used as a side table, sofa end table, bedside table, small patio side table or plant stand.
