Vintage Mushroom Arm Chair with Ottoman by Pierre Paulin for Artifort, 1960s

1st edition Mushroom lounge chair 560 and footstool 561 designed by Pierre Paulin for Artifort in 1959. This iconic Pierre Paulin chair with footstool is from the early sixties and is completely reupholstered with new foam and beautiful rust brown Kvadrat Tundra fabric. With this lounge chair, Pierre Paulin introduced a new technique at Artifort. In contrast to a wooden furniture body, a metal tube frame is used with webbing and a thick layer of foam rubber.
