A stunning piece of vintage and mid century furniture in a five drawer chest by Alfred Cox. The cabinet consists of five hand crafted drawers with each one having superb dove tail jointing and offering great storage, on each drawer front their are the original wooden pull handles while at the base the chest sits on four elegant tapered legs. The cabinet has been crafted by Alfred Cox and bears the black makers label within the top drawer, the chest was retailed through Heals of London in the 1950’s with Alfred Cox synonymous with hand crafted and high quality furniture using the most wonderful woods in his furniture and only retailed through quality department stores. The chest has a sensational look and elegant design that would suit any home or environment. Measurements W 33 inches D 17 inches H 39 inches. Condition The chest is made of solid wood with a beautiful walnut veneer, the chest has been French polished then waxed to help preserve the wonderful light colour of the chest
