Set of 4 vintage Osaka armchairs by Emiel Veranneman

Emiel Veranneman was internationally known as an interior and furniture designer. In 1974 he established his own foundation at Kruishoutem where his own work, and also the work of national and international artists, was shown. This set of four Osaka arm chairs was produced by De Coene, Belgium in a limited production and only by order.. The Osaka arm chair has been exposed at the Belgian pavilion at the 1970 World Exhibition in Osaka, Japan. These chairs are a combination of traditional Flemish woodwork with Asian influences. The dark stained and lacquered wood makes a wonderful combination with the cobalt blue fabric. Hard to find in a set of four.
