Vintage Wiggle Chair and Side Table by Frank O. Gehry for Vitra, 2000s

Wiggle chair and side table from the “Easy Edges” series designed by Frank O. Gehry in 1972 and made by Vitra in the 200s. This furniture is made of cardboard and was such a success that Frank O. Gehry decided to take them of the market after three months. He was afraid that the popularity of the cardboard furniture would damage his name as an architect. In 1991, Frank O. Gehry designed the Gugenheim Museum which has made him famous worldwide. Only in 1992 Vitra put the Wiggle chair back on the market. Although this chair looks simple, it is nevertheless comfortable, but also durable and robust according to Vitra. The condition of the set is good; minimal irregularities in the back (see photos). Dimensions chair h x w x d 85 x 36 x 63 cm, seat height 46 cm. Dimensions side table h x w x d 39 x 39 x 41.5 cm. The side table is no longer in production. Both Items marked: Design Frank O.
