About this vintage design furniture
A beautiful side table from the AX-series by Peter HVIDT and Orla Mølgaard NIELSEN for Fritz Hansen in the 50s. Very sculptured and stylish using four different types of wood – the frame if primarily made of beech with mahogany inlays in the legs, while tabletop is made of teak.

Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
