About this vintage design furniture

English made 8’ sideboard. Designed by Robert Heritage in the early 1960s for Archie Shine. Has been refinished in the vendor’s workshop. Made from Teak & Afromosia. It is generally in a very good vintage condition, it does have two areas of historical damage. top corner of one door front missing veneer. Top left corner of up-stand. Reshaped (see close up pictures).

Robert HERITAGE

Robert Heritage (1927-2002) was a British industrial designer renowned for his work in the 1950s and 1960s. Born in Leytonstone, East London, he studied at the Walthamstow School of Art, then at the Royal College of Art.
