About this vintage design furniture

Champagne" armchair by Erwin and Estelle Laverne for Formes Nouvelles, produced in the 1960s. Transparent Plexiglas shell, cast aluminum base, rotation system in very good condition, and original black leather seat cushion. Set in very good condition, logo under the base minimal traces of age and use (a few tiny scratches on the shells), otherwise no cracks or missing parts. Estelle LAVERNE

1915 - 1997

Erwine (b. 1887) and Estelle (b. 1896) Laverne were an American design couple who worked together from the late 1920s until Erwine's death in 1951. They were active in the fields of interior decoration, furniture design and textile design.
