Vintage “Sofia” multi-layer pendant lamp for Design Light A/S., Denmark 1970

A large and heavy multilayered pendant light in classic Danish style with matte white powder coating. It consists of seven thick metal discs of various sizes. This is not a thin aluminum type construction but a solid and sturdy shade. The Lamp spreads a soft white shine downwards over a table without any glare sideways. Each layer shining down on the next gives a soft and stylish effect to the centre of a room. The light was constructed by the Danish light manufacturer Design- Light A/S Very good condition with only minimal signs of use. All discs are straight and sturdy. Standard E27 light bulb socket.
