The rosewood-veneered cabinet is in good condition and has been stamped by the Bernini publishing house. Born in Padua, Italy, in 1926, Frattini studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, where he was influenced by important Italian design figures of the time, such as Gio Ponti and Franco Albini. After graduating in 1953, Frattini quickly established himself as a freelance designer. He worked with several renowned companies, including Cassina, Arteluce, and Acerbis International, contributing to the creation of many iconic pieces of furniture and lighting. Frattini was renowned for his clean, functional style, combining elegant lines with high-quality materials to create timeless pieces. His most famous creations include the "832" armchair for Cassina, the "Boby" table lamp for Artemide, and the "Clio" modular bookcase for Bernini. His work has been widely recognized internationally, with exhibitions in renowned design museums such as New York's MoMA and Milan's Triennale. Gianfranco Frattini left a lasting legacy in the world of design, his work continuing to influence generations of designers to come.
