Vintage 2-bay teak wall unit by Poul Cadovius, 1960

This highly versatile and functional “Royal System” was originally designed by Poul Cadovius in 1948. This useful two-bay teak shelving system has a very clean look and offers a wide variety of storage and display options. The set includes a chest of three drawers, a record / LP cabinet, a bank of four drawers along with five shelves. The cabinets are simply hung from pins, whilst the shelves are hung from metal hangers that attach through the holes that run the full length of the three uprights. This modular arrangement comprises of 11 pieces (including the uprights). The setup is in nice period condition, showing little wear. There is evidence of faint marks on the top of both base units, and a couple of period ink spills in the bank of four drawers - all of which are shown in the last few images.
