About this vintage design furniture
An Iconic 1950’s writing table designed by Gio Ponti for Schirolli to furnish Banca Nazionale del Lavoro offices across Italy.
This early 1950s desk model was acquired from the Rome Bissolati BNL headquarters, where Gio Ponti also used this design for the University of Padua.
The desk is made from beautiful chestnut and brass, outfitted with two front drawers.
The desk is also accompanied with a certificate of expertise from the Gio Ponti Archives which is rare to have together with the item, given it’s age.
