Vintage formica secretary desk, 1950

This secretary is full of surprises. First, it's old enough to be a grandfather, yet it hasn't a wrinkle or flaw (I know some people who wish they could say the same...) It's the result of meticulous craftsmanship, with dovetailed drawers, double-walled wood, invisible hinges... The thickness of the materials used gives it a solidity and sturdiness that will stand the test of time, like a Soviet construction during the Cold War. Yet its lines are reminiscent of guariche work, and the pep provided by the sunny yellow makes it truly original. You won't see two alike The open top provides a work surface of 48 by 79 cm, 77 cm from the floor. As a storage unit, sideboard, bar cabinet or secretary, it's up to you to recreate its history.
