About this vintage design furniture
Round coffee table by Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard-Nielsen for France and Son (marked).
Solid teak wood. Beneath the table top a second top in teak and wicker with brass holder for magazines.
1960’s. In very good condition, just in the middle of the top a few small round spots.
Height 51 cm, diameter 99 cm.

About the designer
Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
