About this vintage design furniture

A brass tray for pencils handcrafted in the 1940s/50s. Simple, timeless Bauhaus design by Alfred Schäfter. Very good condition - slight traces of wear and age patina. Alfred Schäfter (1902-1970), he was a German gold and silversmith, in 1927 he was called to the Bauhaus-Dessau as foreman of the metal workshop. at the Bauhaus-Dessau. Workshop signature "AS" and "Handarbeit". Reference : 289886
