About this vintage design furniture
A square white ceramic ashtray designed and manufactured by Fornasetti for Winston cigarettes, it features the famous woman's face that we see in many variations of her iconic illustrations, the opera singer Lina Cavalieri. It's in lovely conditions, probably never used, signed on the bottom. Piero Fornasetti was an Italian artist and designer who was known for his whimsical and surreal designs, and his work in the mid-century modern style is highly regarded by collectors and enthusiasts. The ceramic ashtray features one of his iconic designs and it's likely be highly decorative as well as functional.
