The high ladder back - in the shape typical for this Italian designer and architect - makes the chair look like a sculpture, and the woven seat gives it a rustic character.
Solid wood structure and seagrass seat. The chair is in very good condition with a visible patina.

Gio PONTI
1891 - 1979Gio Ponti (1891-1979) was an Italian designer, architect, writer and teacher, considered one of the most influential designers of 20th-century Italy. Born in Milan, he studied architecture at Milan Polytechnic University and began working as an architect in 1921.
