Quaker Chair 365 by Lucian Ercolani for ERCOL, 1960. Stamped on the reverse. Point out a crack on the seat and slight scratches on the back, otherwise in very good condition. Total height 96 cm Seat height 42 cm Seat dimensions 41 x43 cm In 1920 Lucian Ercolani (1888-2010) founded in England the furniture company ERCOL whose reputation will grow year after year. Among the major pieces created by Lucian Ercolani, is obviously the "Butterfly chair" designed in 1958 and the model "Quaker Chair" characteristic with its high back. In addition to the Design, it is the quality of the manufacture of the furniture Ercol which makes its reputation. Like its illustrious predecessors (Thonet, Fischel, Köhn,..), Lucian R Ercolani works the curved wood, by shaping it after it was heated and humidified with the vapor. Reference : 269013
