About this vintage design furniture
Set of 4 Badminton ND 150 dining chairs by Nanna Ditzel for Kolds Savvaerk, Denmark.
Design 1958, production in the 1960s.
Please take notice of the very nice nut wood seat and backrest.
These wonderful chairs have the original skai seat.
The skai has traces of use, see the pictures.
Chromed tubular steel legs.
This chair was originally designed for the Glostrup County Hospital near Copenhagen were they were to placed in the auditorium.
Nanna Ditzel (1923-2005) was a cabinetmaker and became a furniture designer in 1946, and worked together with her husband Jørgen Ditzel (1921-1961).
Nanna Ditzel was a designer who was focused on the use, need and function of furniture.
Her style is therefore very approachable and useful but at times also bold and experimental.
Ditzel made use of innovative techniques and materials.
