About this vintage design furniture

Rare art deco/bauhaus silver plated alpacca tea pot designed by famous Italian architect Gio Ponti and manufactured by Krupp Berndorf, 1930s. Height: 10.5 cm; depth: 7 cm; Width: 15 cm. Capacity: 300 ml. Capacity and mark under the base (see pictures). Good original condition, light wear consistent with age and use. Reference : 257617

1891 - 1979

Gio Ponti (1891-1979) was an Italian designer, architect, writer and teacher, considered one of the most influential designers of 20th-century Italy. Born in Milan, he studied architecture at Milan Polytechnic University and began working as an architect in 1921.
