About this brand new furniture
Emblematic of the Steiner house, the Zen armchair created in 1969 is a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. Inspired by Chinese culture, the Zen chair will leave a mark in the history of design. A Japanese branch of Buddhism, Zen invites one to live in the present, emphasizing meditation from the sitting posture. Uncompromising on comfort, Kwok Hoi Chan sculpted the cantilevered frame into a tubular framework. This ingenuity gives the seat its flexibility. Although he likes the chromed tube in vogue, he chooses here to hide its metallic appearance under the textile. Bold lines, on 66 cm high. Enveloping shapes, 96 cm wide and 69 cm deep. Foam cushions. Suspension fabric, sliding on skids.
