About this vintage design furniture
Floor lamp designed by Aldo van den Nieuwelaar for Nila Lights, Holland, 1970s. The light is movable in any direction and has a beautiful Corona when it lights. Black lacquered metal bases with a Lucite disc in very good original condition. Works from Aldo van den Nieuwelaar are represented in the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam and the MoMA in New York.

About the designer
Aldo VAN DEN NIEUWELAAR
Wim Van den Nieuwelaar was a Dutch designer, born on February 28, 1936 in Haarlem and died on February 23, 2019. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague and began his design career in the 1960s.
