About this vintage design furniture

This beautiful sofa by Jean-Michel Frank, designed and produced in the mid 1930's, has been reupholstered in a mustard yellow linen velvet fabric by Pierre Frey, reference Georges, made of cotton and linen. It has been fully restored, the seat and backrest completely changed, and is in perfect condition. This sofa has a typical 30's - 40's chic, with the minimalist and elegant signature of Frank, very modern for this Art Deco period. A really rare piece. A similar sofa was sold at Sotheby's Paris on October 31, 2017 for €23,750.Reference : Leopold Diego Sanchez, Jean-Michel Frank, Paris, 1997, p. 229 for a related example Reference : 240095
